Good Sprout Rescue and Sanctuary is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of farmed animals in need. We aim to provide a safe and loving environment for farmed animals, giving them a second chance at life.
The History of Our Property...
Is How We Transform Cruelty into Compassion
In 2021, a vegan activist in Pennsylvania saw that a local dairy farm had come up for sale near her home. She had known of the farm the majority of her life and regularly had to drive by it while it was still in operation. She was intent on turning a place of unimaginable cruelty and suffering into a place of refuge for victims of the animal agriculture industry.
So, she purchased the property.
Then, in July of 2022, she invited us to tour the property in the hopes that we might move our sanctuary operations from Ohio and turn her dream into a reality. As soon as I stepped onto the property, I knew it was going to be the perfect forever home for us! With beautiful pastures, rolling hills, and a quiet community, it really is the perfect location for a sanctuary and we humbly accepted the incredible, once in a lifetime offer to move to this property. We officially moved in August 2023.
The previous dairy farm held upwards of 600 cows on 122.8 acres of cruelty.
Today, it's home to 75 residents of several species who live their lives knowing only love, care, compassion, and safety.
